This work celebrates Starbucks’ Hacienda Alsacia – the original farm at the core of its coffee journey and a living symbol of sustainability, community, and positive change. Rooted in the precious landscape of Costa Rica, Hacienda Alsacia represents both heritage and Starbucks’ ongoing drive towards a better and more sustainable future.

This work envelopes the viewer in a scale that introduces them to the landscape of Hacienda Alsacia in a bold, simple language: a palette of black and white with purposeful pops of color, which reflect both the grounded and timeless, contrasted by intentional pops of color that highlight key elements of growth and connection. The scale of the work plays with perspective, as the foreground remains approachable relating to a human-scale, while the distance invites exploration not only of the farm but of possibility.
